By using an unit to discuss a topic, we are required to categorize its principle, functions, and relations with the unit itself. It was difficult for me to collect my thoughts over a specific unit. I don't usually list it's specifications for an essay, so it was good practice. I'm glad that we went over it.
Phew! This week was very helpful for me again. Learning how to use the proper examples for a sentence to make it more vivid so that the reader can better understand and create an image of the situation. Exemplification will be useful on later projects for sure. Analysis also is a great tool to have just to explain how something works as a unit. The online classes are alright but I'm more of a physical type learner. Everyone doing great with their comments to the forum . I read what everyone puts down because it is very informative and helps me throughout the assignments.
Don't hesistate to ask for help especially if you know it's gonna help you along the way. Some of us do comprehend a lot more easier with interaction and some of us comprehend well with hands on so no worries Jeff :) have a great weekend!
This week was totally about our online portion of the class. I thought it was pretty fun. Waking up in the morning, going to school. Although we had to make time for it, it was great. Anyways, to today's activities? Reading that story about the ocean is only the one of many. I especially enjoyed how the writing can make something so simple have depth. In explaining the details how the ocean takes up space, the only thing in my mind was how useful it was. With practice, I believe I can write something that can be easily understood. Overall it was a great week! Now for the weekend. :)
At first, I was hesitant about the activities this week because it was all online and I did not want to make a mistake on it. Eventually, I became confident about the lessons and still learned even without having interaction with a teacher in person. The lessons were interesting but the challenging ones for me are exemplification and analysis by division. Hopefully, I comprehended it well. This week made me feel comfortable with online discussions.
Same here Leillani :) but I still prefer the in class sessions we have. I don't mind the online sessions at all, it is another form of our communication outside class :)
Online class is more convenient, but i rather prepared the class discussion. Class discussion enhance my knowledge regarding to the topic or anything i should learn in EN100. Whatever thought of my other classmates helps me more to understand everything, and i missed all my classmates. It is boring if you do it by yourself. Studying by groups is more fun.
It is so boring when working alone especially with the great group that we have, in class discussions are so much more interesting and we all benefit from each others point of view or thoughts. Have a great weekend :)
I enjoyed the reading "The Zones of the Sea" and in this brief essay I loved the writing of sequence. As far as this weeks online sessions, it may be a convenience but I really do love the in class sessions a whole lot more. The class discussions help us all as far as understanding the lesson itself and there is more feed back given. See you all next week :)
It was enjoying to read. And it does give us a better understanding, especially through our other classmates comments--honestly, a very good overview! Hope we can all keep this up towards the end of the summer
This is by far one of the hardest lessons becuase it took a bit for my comprhension to kick in. To include principle, function, and relation seems like a simple concept but after practicing the concept i've learned it is very handy.

DeleteYeah, class sessions are helpful.
DeleteI admit as well, I also enjoyed reading "The Zones of the Sea." I could actually see the different parts of the sea as I descended down. :)
