DeleteJeff, you are a cool dude man! Don't worry about being a little computer illiterate. That's why you have classmates. Have a great weekend.
DeleteI totally agree with you Jeff and Leilani, the activities are very helpful and I myself look forward to the upcoming lessions and discussions. I'm with you Joe on Jeff being a little computer illiterate...I'm here if you ever need help and I'm sure we all are!
DeleteHello everyone,
ReplyDeleteFirst day of class make me excited. I really wanted to meet all my new classmate and teacher at the same time, but I won't be able to meet personally our other teacher Dr.Rivera. I only got a chance to communicate with her by email. Hoping to meet Dr.Rivera also in person. I really enjoying the class discussion. It gave me more idea from what we discuss about. Discussion it enhance my knowledge. Learning about EN100 teach me more technique how to write good essay.

It was nice meeting all our classmates and teacher. It would also be nice to see our other teacher but I know Dr. Rivera is busy.
DeleteI'd like to meet her too! Wouldn't we all? (:
DeleteIt was good to meet everyone and I agree that it would be nice to meed Dr. Rivera. I agree Jackie that the class discussion has enhanced our knowledge or writing and will only get better for all of us.
DeleteThis first week was a new experience for me. At first, it was confusing with all the online assignments but once our teachers clearly taught it to us it started to be easy. So far the lessons are interesting and accommodating to me. I know that if I do the assignments it will help me become a better writer.
ReplyDeleteleilani
I felt the same way about the online assignments and yes it is interesting and accomodating. I agree that we will all become a better writer.
DeleteHafa Adai!
ReplyDeleteWell for me, this is my first class coming fresh out of high school. It is a new experience and I hope I can accommodate the transition. Through this whole week, it was nice to have met all of you. The lessons learned are nothing new to all of us. It is simply a refresher where we can harness our writing skills. After all, it is EN100 isn't it? We have a long summer ahead of us and I want to thank everyone for making my first class at UOG a great experience! :)
That's awesome Joe! I'm excited for all of us and you are the bomb in class! You bring speed up for all of us and you so far have set that tone of comfort to share in our discussion. Kudos Joe for breaking the ice!
DeleteThanks! I greatly appreciate it. I can't wait for class on Monday to see what we are all going to talk about. :)
DeleteOh yeah! I'd like to say sorry for the rush editing post on the forum ;\ I wanted to write how I felt :P

ReplyDeleteMy first day? I received my first tardy.
DeleteRegarding to my tardy on my first day of class, it seems that I intruded into this other EN100 class. It was 10:04; I was four minutes late for class. I am sad to say that my reason for being late was because my alarm did not set off that morning. I jogged and dodged my way through the parking lot. As I look into my syllabus, my class was EC101--basically the first door in the English Building, or so I thought. I barged into the first door and wondered into an empty seat. I bared a few stares from the students; but, nonetheless, both students and the professor welcomed me anonymously.
Aside from their heart-jabbing stares, it was notable enough to judge that this class was packed. Students were lined from shoulder to shoulder; there were barely not enough space to stretch.
From thereafter, a girl on my left spoke in a hush tone: "Konichiwa, are you lost?" We looked through my syllabus, and finally noticed that I was in the wrong class. Dumbfoundedly, I left the class and continued my search for EC101.
It was 10:32. Despite being late, I am glad discovered that my class was small. Throughout this summer, I hope to learn new techniques to become a better writer.
Edward or Daisuke.
No worries Edward :) better late than never. The class was complete so it's all good. I know that we will become better writers.
DeleteThat is true, better late than never.
DeleteHafa Adai Everyone,
ReplyDeleteMy first day of class was exciting for me. We were introduced to the moodle system and how this class was a hybrid class. When Professor Palomo talk about how we were going about with the class I was like "oh my goodness". I signed up for in class not online but as we were given the knowledge of the moodle system and playing around with it, I was like this is awesome "I got this guam". I love that we not only can interact in class with eachother but also online thru the blog. Given that we see eachother almost everyday of the week, I'm enjoying the class, my classmates, Professor Palomo and Dr. Rivera. I love to write, reading the book, doing the exercises in the book and going over our answers, posting on the forum, blogging and the freewriting assignment we did yesterday and shared with the class. It's only been a week and I know our class is the bomb. We are not scared to share our thoughts and we all participate and speak our minds so I know Professor Palomo is like wow I love my students. I know that we all are going to be great at writing by the end of our summer session. If not a great writer then at least we have all the tools and eventually will become great at writing. Have a great weekend everyone. Thanks for an awesome and interesting fun week.
Maria
It is convenient to communicate not only in class but online. I also did not know that it was a hybrid class too but it seems to be working out fine.

ReplyDeleteBuenas everyone:),
ReplyDeleteWalking into Dr. Rivera’s class was unusual; the teacher herself was not present. Instead I walked in on a very bubbly Mrs. Palomo. Mrs. Palomo greeted us and shared that we are now in Dr. Rivera and Mrs. Palomo’s hybrid En 100 class. This class was not a normal class; the class required a face-to-face meeting and an online portion. The class learned guidelines about the online portion. This portion of the class was basic but still a new learning experience itself. Mr. Chris presented more information on the next day. He taught the class to login into our accounts, how to use the classroom, and to become familiar with communication in our online classrooms. Within the week both Dr. Rivera and Mrs. Palomo taught the class editing, basic structures of a paragraph, and online familiarity. This course will not only improve my writing abilities but will also improve my computer skills. Classmates make up a big experience in any classroom. The people attending section 03 are tremendous. Their inputs in the class allow everyone to gain a better point of view about a discussion. I’m really excited for this summer, this course is all about new learning skills.
Thanks again, Francais
Hey y'all,
ReplyDeleteThe First week of class was ok. I enjoy starting new classes as much as anybody, seeing new people, meeting new teachers, learning new things, everything is just so...new! However I'm more eager to get down to the real guts of the class, writing papers where we can express our thoughts about what other authors have written.
So far in the class I liked our ten minute free write. It was really fun to hear what other people wrote about and how they felt about things that interested them. I hope I can read other peoples papers and get to know everyone better and maybe even become friends with them.
Sincerely, Joel. :)
Alright everyone! Just wanted to say goodnight! Let's have a great week prepared for us and keep in touch. :)
