Oh yeah! Jose is first again! Oh well let us get talking. This week was rather boring for me. It feels like we have no class anymore. Not everyone shows up and so like it feels like I'm hanging with my friends. But what can I say? The ones that have priorities just have to be excused. This past week we also had worked on our midterm self-reflection as well as our activities in the book. Cause and effect, and compare and contrast. In my opinion, I believe that these are the two most common forms of writing. Every where you go, there has to be a cause and an outcome, or a need to differentiate between something. For that, I do not know, but it is true. Little by little, I can see a progress in my writing and I'm glad for that. As the school year finishes off, these techniques learned, as well as the activities in "Paragraphs and Essays" can help make me a more knowledgeable person :) Have a great weekend everyone while moodle is down! :)
I know I was one of the ones that didn't show up because of my girl and I totally agree with you about class being boring if we are all not there. It's different too when Professor Palomo isn't there :( because we get to discuss the lesson as a whole instead of working individually.
Awe!!! you beat me to it Jose, Next time ill be first, just playing bro. I thought it was alright even though not everyone shows up because they have responsibilities but I know they know what they have to do and i believe they can get it done.
Hafa Adai, Ms.Rivera! We, as a class, have learned so much since the past few weeks. It was very beneficial for our writing skills, and perhaps it will bring out our full potential in writing. Surprisingly, there are only two more weeks until the end of this course. I hope we would learn more in our upcoming scheduled days. As for our last class, we indeed learned comparison and contrast. To my understanding, compare and contrast differentiate objects or thinking by how they are different. This is beneficial to us in writing because when we used this technique, we started to see the small details that we never thought of.
Good one Ed...although I still feel I'm lacking in some areas of the lesson, I do understand the lesson but to an extent. I was out a few days and I missed out on those class discussions and then when I did come to class Professor wasn't there for me to address some questions I did want to ask :( I can't believe that we are almost done with our summer session.
Hello, Well, one of many lessons we had learned last week was comparison and contrast. It is a great lesson to learn so you can choose which one you think is the best. It gives a sense of making a person have an idea of all the opinions and become open-minded about things. It is an effective writing process that will convince your reader. It will expand your knowledge about the subject because you can see the difference between them.
Another week has passed and again we have learned new things. Comparing and contrast are very useful tools to write with. I would use this if I was gonna write something dealing more then one topic. Its a good way to write about the two without degrading them from each other but rather explain about the two with their own ups and downs. I also agree with everyone's comments they were all very helpful.
Yes another week has come and went :( and I agree with it being a very usefull tool to write. It's how we are going to apply all that we've learned into how we write and I'm sure that we all have gain so much from it.
Hello everyone, Last week we just learned how to do the descriptive narrative essay. It is not an easy essay to do, but it was an interesting essay. Comparison and contrast based on what I just read, it is writing topics will ask to consider the relationship between two things. This topics may allow to organize the essay either similarities between two subtropics or around the differences between them. It seems that this essay is one of the interesting essay but it is also seems that one of the hard essay that I'm going to make.
In my opinion, I believe if you know what you are going to write about, descriptive essay can be an easy one. Having clarifications are are really important.
Class is almost over, I will miss you guys. I learn new topics every week, its always exciting when comparing and comntrasting. Learning that sometime when comparing and contrasting it will always be a challenge because some examples don't add up. Overall the book gave great examples that helped my classmates and I to understandthe correct way of creating example. To compare and contrast are two basic writing tools that help us organize a topic.

DeleteWe've learned so much that I think it's so hard to remember everything! Don't you agree?!
DeleteEd awesome explanation of objects and thoughts to be compared and contrasted:)

DeleteI agree with you about gaining so much since we do apply ourselves into activities.
DeleteNice Jeff. I agree how that you use them to excel both of the objects instead of downgrading them!
